Marguerite Brac de La Perrière leads Fieldfisher France’s Digital practice.

The department covers IT contracts, Data Protection, and Artificial Intelligence, with a strong focus on Digital Health.

Marguerite Brac de La Perrière adopts a proactive approach to regulatory changes in order to give clients the opportunity to get one step ahead and reach their goals on the market.

As a designated Data Protection Officer (DPO) for several organizations, including international groups, Marguerite works with clients from diverse business sectors and heavily regulated industries.

She has considerable experience in healthcare and life sciences, having advised digital health clients for over 15 years. She assists a large range of clients from SaaS medical service providers (medtechs) to pharmaceutical manufacturers, clinic groups, insurance companies, and start-ups.

Marguerite offers strategic insights into data protection, cybersecurity, and digital regulation compliance, showcasing particular expertise in re-use, AI and emerging technologies.

She routinely supports clients during data protection inspections and aids in navigating the aftermath of significant data breaches.

With a comprehensive background in IT services, Marguerite acts on behalf of both service providers and buyers, having drafted and negotiated complex IT agreements such as system integration, and draft  SaaS contracts, general terms of services and service orders.

Her involvement extends to contentious matters where she assists clients in pre-litigation strategy and representing their interests in court. This includes participation in highly technical court-ordered IT expert assessments or mediation.

Marguerite has an excellent reputation as one of the leading French lawyers in IT, Data Protection, and Digital Health. In 2022, she earned recognition as a “rising star” in Digital Law by Leaders League and was named as “Best Lawyer” in biotechnologies and life sciences 2023.

Actively engaged in professional organizations across cybersecurity, telemedicine, AI, DPO, and digital health, Marguerite is a regular speaker at their prestigious conferences. Additionally, she shares her knowledge as a digital health specialist through teaching roles at Paris 8 University and the Institute for Smart Health (INeS).
